The Third Eco Health Tourism Conference and Exhibition Hamedan
The Eco Health Tourism Conference and Health Tourism Exhibition were held in Hamedan from 11 to 13 June 2025. The countries which are members of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) attended this exhibition. Kianoyan Mehr Iranian Co. attended the exhibition alongside tourism service providers from the provinces of Hamedan, Ilam, Kurdistan, Kermanshah, Isfahan, Gilan, East Azerbaijan, Kerman, Tehran and Fars. Kianouyan Mehr Iranian Company participated in the Eco Health Tourism Exhibition as per its regular attendance at previous ECO Summit events and hosted numerous domestic and international guests at its booth.

On the sidelines of this conference and exhibition, five specialized meetings and panels were also held, as follows.
• Analysis of the role of ECO member countries in regional medical tourism (development strategies and methods)
• Artificial intelligence and new technologies in health tourism
• Introduction of the capabilities and medical infrastructures and achievements of health tourism in Iran and ECO member countries

The results of the third ECO Hamedan Health Tourism Conference and Exhibition are as follows:
• Welcoming the proposals of the Iranian side on the establishment of a joint health tourism committee based in Hamedan and developing a comprehensive health tourism strategy under the supervision of the ECO Economic Cooperation Organization, as well as creating a digital platform in the field of health tourism among ECO member countries.
• Committed to equipping health tourism centers and professionals with the necessary knowledge and skills to excel in their roles, focusing on providing high-quality treatment and maintaining ethical responsibilities and accountability to clients;
• Exploring further ways for cooperation among ECO member countries to improve service quality standards and facilitate the exchange of expertise and best practices in health tourism;
• Promoting stronger partnerships between educational institutions active in the medical field across member countries, harmonizing health tourism education with industry needs;
• Explore the emerging role of artificial intelligence in the health sector and its application in health tourism to facilitate logistics, data collection and sharing of health records among ECO member countries to enhance the efficiency and sustainability of health tourism;
• Encouraging joint research initiatives and data exchange between academic institutions and the tourism industry to identify and promote best practices in health tourism;
• Strengthening investment by domestic and foreign stakeholders by creating a coordinated network of incentives and offering a diverse range of opportunities for international investors in the health tourism sector;
• Supporting the exchange of health tourists between member countries, recognizing its role in market development, job creation and improving the quality of life in tourism destinations;
• Supporting the development of hydrotherapy and spa tourism as a growing and valuable subsector of health tourism.
• Call for the development of a strategic development framework that encourages the active participation of a wide range of stakeholders in the health tourism ecosystem.
